Slicing nga ku

Yesterday I was helping my mom in the kitchen with the New Year crackers .. mom used nga ku (chinese arrowhead)

looks like garlic thingy ..

so basically we soak the arrowheads .. all of them waiting their turn to be sliced ..

then we run them through the slicer thingy into thin little pieces ..

tada! looks like poker chip! :D

what is the end result ? after the arrowheads were sliced, then it was time to fry them.

i'm sure you know how it looked it :)

Updated - a week into January

The brother has been sick , the mother has been sick and I have been doing house chores. The mother is simply yelling at me at every procrastination I did and I have to grit my teeth to answer back. Chores are not my number one hobby and procrastination is my nature. The sister had gone back to school and my license is just as good as non existant.

I have been applying for internship and somehow it made me sleepless at night, tossing and turning and dreaming about applying for a job in bars or something like that.

Therefore there has been lousy meals and such but the lousiest would have to be yesterday's lunch. Why? Cause I cooked!

I had some overnight rice and I decided to fry some rice for my own lunch until I discovered the rice got too dry and the oil way too much. I was biting on crunchy bits no longer known as rice. Yucks! Conclusion :- don't put too much oil

The only upside of the week right now is I have the books to read. Nyam! Ok, wrong expression but yum!

I have a toothache too since last year. Sound so severe right when last year was just a week ago.

I am so looking forward for interviews and getting wasted tipsy this Saturday night. I been so sober for the past two years. Heh, I sound like alcoholic right. No way.

Also this Sunday k session with two mei mei. Cheeky girls came and surprised me in MMU on the day of the presentation. My day was brighten with their arrival :)

I still need to shop and luckily I had stash away some cash for my spree

Last week during the one Monday break, we went to KL .. I haven't been to KL for a long time .. and everywhere I turn , I see Starbucks *slurp* but save money, save money .. for Chinese New Year shopping ..


Sunway duck was lost .. far away from Sunway Lagoon ..

and nearing nightfall, you can see silver man..

Who is silver man? Well, he is a street show person who sits in front of Lot 10 mall .. and he .. just sits .. very very still .. while people pose with him and fill his cup with money ..

Although it was pretty amazing that he sat so still .. he was not the center of my attention ..

he was ! right there beside the Bukit Bintang monorail station .. perfect place to promote the watch and Jay .. every tourist, every one can see the handsome Asia king ..

Dinner at Jalan Alor was like heaven street for food lovers although I was not a fan of the narrow roads ..

I forgot what shop we dine in but it was the first one ..

My day was fruitful though with three new tops .. and also a bottle of coke ..

Yesterday I went to Amcorp for Book Xcess store and get some books .. I spent nearly RM 150 on books there ...
